Link Building is a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) technique. The SEO is a webmarketing strategy and describes:
the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine’s unpaid results — often referred to as “natural,” “organic,” or “earned” results.
What is link building?
actions aimed at increasing the number and quality of inbound links to a webpage with the goal of increasing the search engine rankings (Google, Yahoo!, Bing etc.) of that specific page or website or blog.
What are the purposes of link building?
- Improve the SEO of our website/blog
- Improve the positioning of our pages within the search engines
- Increase the number of visitors to our website / blog
- Improve the image of our website / blog – if we manage to get enough backlinks from other websites, the search engines will consider our blog reliable and will most likely show our pages within the first search results.
How to do link building?
1 – The best way is to offer quality content, which is worth sharing – this i salso called link earning.
2 – The sharable Infographics can be a very useful tool in link building. In this case you should create an embedded code in html that can be inserted in other websites. Once the infographic gets shared, a SEO optimized backlink is being created.
Here is an example of and embedded code for an infographic, where http://www.oursite.com/seo-backlinks.html is the page that contains the infographic and that will receive the backlink, and seo-backlinks.jpg is the file of the infographic:
<textarea style=”width: 90%; height: 100px; padding: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 4px;” readonly=”readonly”>
<div><a href=”http://www.oursite.com/seo-backlinks.html”><img src=”https://www.oursite.com/images/seo-backlinks.jpg” alt=”Seo Backlinks” /></a></div>
<div>Fonte: <a href=”http://www.oursite.com/”>www.oursite.com</a></div>
3 – Guest posts: articles written and published for other more famous websites / blogs. We can insert backlinks within these guest posts in order to redirect the audience to the author’s page.
4 – there are other strategies, some of them less efficient (buying links, including our website in one or more directories ecc.), other riskier (link exchange, hiding links within comments on other blogs ecc.) – we could get penalized for this and seen as spam.
